About Us
November 11, 2006: The idea for SellinaMinute.com came to me on this day during a walk in the woods with my best friend and canine companion, Angus. I was working on a parallel idea for a job and resume site using one minute on-line videos. I'd been working on this idea for a while but realized that this idea although workable, was not a ground breaking global idea. I thought "What else could I sell in a minute?" And it just hit me; "EVERYTHING!". Cars, motorcycles, homes, land, vacation rentals, etc. all could be better sold with on-line video vs. only static pictures and text ads. I immediately registered the domain www.sellinaminute.com and began to a lay the ground work for the web site.
December 13, 2006: I engaged Spokane Web Communications to build the site. Their experience with many large companies in building robust user friendly web sites was paramount in this decision.
February 6, 2007: I contacted Gonzaga University's New Venture Lab in Spokane, WA in order to get feedback and validation on my ideas. They only accept a limited number of projects annually. They liked my idea and the SellinaMinute project was accepted on March 5, 2007. Their New Venture Lab engaged some of their "best and brightest" minds to work on this project. Together, we researched the market for video classified advertising and on-line auctions; the end result is the web site you see. Free video classifed ads for consumers and SIM Stores for businesses. A simple and effective business model.
